Our industry has it backwards:


I want to leave you with a new belief today...

In this industry, "job complete" is treated like the end of the transaction. The invoice clears, the truck pulls away, and the relationship is filed under "done." I think that's backwards.

“Job Complete” is the start of the relationship, not the end of the transaction.

You did the hardest, most expensive part already. You earned their trust. You got into their home. You got their contact information.

The marginal cost of continuing that relationship, one good email a week to people who already chose you, is almost nothing.

And the upside is additional jobs you didn't know were sitting in your list, brand awareness that compounds every week, and a customer base that comes back to you directly instead of through an auction you have to win all over again.

So I'll ask you the same thing I ask every owner who gets hung up on the "math" of email marketing:

What's the alternative? Are you really going to go into someone's home, do great work, get their information, and then never speak to them again, and tell yourself that's the smarter business decision?

You have the list already. You're paying for the tools to send simple emails. The only thing missing is a message they actually want to read, and an offer they actually want to buy.
