An insane idea

Le Tub - a burger joint in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

It's the night before a Home Service Freedom workshop, and I'm at dinner with three contractors:

  • A pool company
  • A fencing company
  • A general contractor

We're talking marketing strategies when I, in typical me fashion, make the case for staying in touch with your past customers.

I know, I know... it's an insane idea that's gotten me laughed out of the room before. Staying in touch - who even does that?

Anyway, we're mid-conversation when the fencing guy's eyes go wide.

"I just realized I have 60,000 people on my list I've never emailed before."

My eyes go wide. "60,000?!"

"Some people buy businesses just for the customer list... and I'm not even using mine!" he says.

Most contractors that we work with have a moment like this where they realize they're sitting on a goldmine with their email list.

If you've got a list of all your past leads and customers, but you've never emailed them when your board is looking bare...

This is your sign to get started. You're most likely already paying for a way to send emails to them. Might as well reap the fruits of your labor!
